Royal Worcester Worcester Herbs Wild Thyme tea and tableware collection, 1987–1990

Extensive group of fine porcelain from Royal Worcesters Worcester Herbs Wild Thyme series, late 20th century, comprising teapot, teacups and saucers, cream jug, lidded serving dish, gravy boat, salt shaker, divided dishes, oval and rectangular platters, scalloped bowls and a segmented relish dish. White glaze with transfer printed botanical studies and butterflies, green line rims and moulded or lattice embossed borders with elegant loop handles and spouts. Latin captions include Rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis, Sage Salvia officinalis, Marshmallow Althaea officinalis, Feverfew Chrysanthemum parthenium, Bay Laurus nobilis, Mustard Sinapis arvensis and Brassica nigra, Speedwell, Marjoram Origanum, Malva sylvestris and Sagina subulata. One rectangular platter 30.5 x 22 cm. Factory marks include Royal Worcester Made in England Fine Porcelain Microwave Safe, 1990 Royal Worcester Worcester Herbs Dishwasher Safe Microwave Safe Freezer Safe LO 69, and a red printed crown mark, with dated pieces including 1987. Accompanied by a Royal Worcester presentation box bearing the Royal Warrant. One platter additionally marked Designed by Dunoon Fine Bone China. Royal Worcester established 1751. Excellent condition throughout.
