Denby cobalt blue and white stoneware tea and cookware collection

A large coordinated selection of Denby stoneware in cobalt blue with white interiors and fine brown gold rim edging, combining a semi-matt exterior with a glossy inner glaze. The group comprises teaware and serveware including two teapots with domed ventilated lids approx 10 inches high, mugs, teacups and saucers, dinner plates, shallow and deep bowls, four pedestal egg cups, a milk jug and sugar bowl, plus a deep oval serving dish and a rectangular divided baking dish with integral handles. The palette and clean modern forms are characteristic of Denby's late 20th century design, notably the Imperial Blue era introduced in 1989; Denby Pottery, Derbyshire, established 1809, is renowned for durable high fired stoneware.
