Two Sketchbooks of Life Drawing Studies by Linda King (British, b. 1958)
A pair of sketchbooks containing a collection of nude life drawing studies by Linda King (British, b. 1958). The works are executed in graphite on white wove paper, depicting various male and female figure studies rendered in an observational, gestural style typical of timed studio sessions. Several pages include handwritten inscriptions at the lower edge; one is inscribed 2 21.3.12 10 mins AK Laurie, and another 3 Wednesday 29.2.12 AK 10 mins. One volume features an index page recording drawing sessions from early 2012, with dates ranging from 25.1.12 to 18.4.12 and model names including Jo, Wendy, Fi, and Laurie, listed under the heading ② LIFE DRAWING. One sketchbook is spiral-bound with black covers, while the other is a standard bound volume.
