Linda King (British, b. 1958), An Assembled Jigsaw Puzzle Triptych After Gustav Klimt
A large-scale assembled jigsaw puzzle triptych by Linda King (British, b. 1958), featuring a sequence of three iconic images after the works of the Austrian Symbolist painter Gustav Klimt. The composition includes reproductions of the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (left), The Kiss (centre), and a detail of Hygeia from the mural Medicine (right). The work is constructed from interlocking cardboard puzzle pieces with an offset lithographic finish. The three components are fully assembled and appear to be adhered together with puzzle glue or mounted to a rigid backing board for display. There are no visible artist signatures, publisher marks, or edition details on the face of the assembled pieces.
