GRECO-BACTRIAN KINGDOM EUCRATIDES I AR TETRADRACHM C. 171-145 BC. -

Greco-Bactrian Kingdom, Eucratides I (c. 171-145 BC) silver tetradrachm. The obverse features the helmeted, diademed, and draped bust of Eucratides I type, with the Boeotian-style helmet featuring a bull's ear and horn. The reverse features the Dioscuri on horseback type with palms and spears. Inscriptions consist of the Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ and ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ. Eucratides I was a significant ruler of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom who assumed the title of Great King.
