A collection of decorative and collectible items including a Burleigh Ware ceramic vase, ceramic fruit, and glassware
A collection of various decorative and collectible items. The primary piece is a ceramic vase by Burgess and Leigh Ltd. The vase features a relief-moulded and hand-painted yellow daffodil design set against a pale green ground. The base of the vase bears a printed green mark which reads Burleigh Ware, Burgess and Leigh Ltd, Estd. 1851, with a central beehive symbol above Burslem, England. The collection also includes ceramic baskets of a white-woven design containing glazed artificial fruit, including oranges, pears, and cherries. Accompanying these is a ship in a bottle model titled The Mary Rose, mounted on a wooden plinth with an inscribed metal plaque. Completing the group are a pair of slender purple glass vases featuring etched floral and wheat decoration, and a natural stone specimen with an integrated metal post.
