A collection of two 20th-century European bayonets, to include a Swiss 1889 bayonet, stamped to ricasso ELSENER SCHWYZ, with steel pommel, riveted wooden handle and double-edge blade, serial number stamped to cross-guard: 773194, with Swiss proofing mark also stamped to cross-guard; along with a German Simpson & Co Suhl, with fullered blade, wooden riveted handle and steel pommel. Both accompanied by scabbards. Longest example 45cm.
