A LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GILT METAL CASKET OF SERPENTINE FORM, the cover inset with a head and shoulders portrait of beauty, painted on ceramic plaque, encircled with fleur-de-lys and floret mounts, strapwork and reeded rims, 11.5cm wide x 10.5cm deep x 4cm high
Ceramic plague: One light scratch, visible with 3x eye glass, good condition, secure in collet setting.
Top: Light patination and tarnish one very small speak of verdigris.
Body: Light patination. A little misshapen the top is not and easy fit.
Bottom: Light scratches, some wear to the edges.
Hinge: Fit for purpose.
Closure: Difficult.
Interior good condition.
Overal good-fair condition.
