A George III Sheffield plate hot chocolate pot, Matthew Boulton, circa 1800, of cylindrical form, detachable cover with gadroon border and wooden handle, twin sun marks to base, later inscriptions, 13.5cm high
Moderate scratching and wear throughout, commensurate with age and use. Moderate denting throughout, including a mid-sized dent to the rim of the base, a few small dents to the body, moderate denting to the spout and knop. Some misshaping to the fitted rim of the cover. Cover sits flush, sparrow beak cover opens smoothly and closes flush. Liner in good order. Possible signs of solder repair around the handle and spout. See pictures for illustration.
