Star Lot: Walter Harrowing (c.1838-1913) A large wonderful original 19th century Walter Harrowing (c.1838-1913) oil on canvas painting. Features a study of a mare / horse in a stable. Rendered in an earthy brown colour palette with shades of ochres. Portrays use of light and shadow achieved through fine brushstrokes adding a radiant quality to the painting.
Signed lower right and dated 1893. Housed in an elaborate gilt frame.
