A British 1888 pattern Mk1 Type 2 Lee Metford sword bayonet, by Wilkinson, London, issued to British and Allied troops during the Boer War and WW1, with 30cm double edged blade, the forte stamped 'WILKINSON LONDON' and dated "3 / '99" beneath crowned VR cypher, with broad arrow mark and various other stamps, steel muzzle ring, crossguard and pommel, with wooden grips joined by two brass rivets, in original leather scabbard with steel mounts. 44.7cm long overall
