£200 - £300
A pair of Edwardian baby's boots, circa 1900, leather soles and cream silk, with two bows to the sides, the toes embroidered with a bird amongst branches with berries, each 11.5 by 4.5 by 8.5cm. (2)
Notes: These belonged to a baby that the vendor's grandmother, Mabel Crownshaw (aged about 7 years at that time), used to take for a walk in a perambulator in the Wadsley area of Sheffield in around 1905. The baby sadly died, as many did in those days, and the mother gave Mabel the little boots as a keepsake. They have been kept and treasured in the vendor's family for the last 115 years.
