A Chinese Islamic Market Porcelain Plate with Calligraphic Decoration, 20th Century.
A circular porcelain plate decorated in underglaze blue with concentric bands of flowing calligraphic script radiating from a central medallion. The centre features a roundel with stylised script in iron-red, encircled by further finely executed blue inscriptions. The cavetto and rim are densely filled with continuous lines of calligraphy, bordered by a scrolling foliate band along the edge.
