An Indo-Portuguese Mother-of-Pearl Powder Flask, 19th/20th Century - An Indo-Portuguese mother-of-pearl powder flask. This decorative, curvilinear vessel is shaped like a stylized looped or C-shaped form, featuring a central circular perforation and a single, flared round opening at its apex. It rests on a flattened, segmented base. The entire object is meticulously covered with numerous small, iridescent tesserae of mother-of-pearl, exhibiting a range of creamy white, golden, and subtle rainbow hues, applied over an underlying structure. The rim of the opening is edged with a thin band of light-colored metal.

H: Approximately 20cm
