An Ottoman Pierced Copper Censer with Engraved Floral Decoration, 19th Century.
An Ottoman copper censer featuring a spherical, onion-shaped lid with an elegant pierced design composed of interlacing arabesques and stylised floral forms. The top terminates in a pointed finial, while the body opens on a hinge to reveal the interior for burning incense. The footed base is engraved with leafy rosettes and bordered with repeating vegetal bands. A distinctive arched handle, also decorated with engraved patterns, connects the lid to the bowl.
