Two rare mid 18thC Derby flower encrusted vases of pear shape, one depicting chickens in a rustic scene and flower , the other depicting chickens with a peacock and further flowers , applied floral and bow decoration to neck, decorated by ' the cotton stem painter ' , 5 1/2'' high. Similar examples can be seen in 'Derby Porcelain: The Golden Years 1750-1770' by Dennis G. Rice Newton Abbot 1983, pages 145, 158
