‘DollyHolme’ an early 20th century well-made wooden dolls house and contents, the painted wooden dolls house with some remains of brick effect papers, the façade with six glazed windows with moulded surrounds, further windows to attic and sides, mansard tiled roof with two chimneys and small hut type room with access to attic, steps with railings and cupboard leading to front door (loose), the front opens in two wings to either side and lift out central panel, to four rooms, hallway with staircase and under stair cupboard, landing with bathroom and stairs to attic rooms, all with original papers and fire places, lace curtains to windows and all rooms with interior hinged doors with faux panelling, hinged tiled roof with two attic rooms and stairs continuing to roof, 40 ½” (103cm) tall, 38” (97cm) wide, 15 ½” (39.5cm) deep. The house with a good selection of contemporary furniture, accessories and dolls, including tinplate range, tables, chairs to each room, kitchen with food and soft metal teapot on stand with cups and saucers and more, first floor dining room with navy velvet patterned settee, chairs and foot rest, hallway with piano, bedrooms with dressing tables, and beds, roof with deck chairs and chicken coop, various Parian and china head dolls (some damage/loss) and more including later boxed bedroom suite. Provenance: ‘DollyHolme’ was built by the vendors step great-grandfather for his daughter Mary over a period of 2-3 years at the beginning of the 20th century, it was passed onto the vendor age 9 in 1957.
