Rare Admiral Dunlop signed official Navy cover HMS Warspite. 20 May 75 - BFPS 1298 - 300th Anniversary of Battle of Sole Bay - HMS Warspite with 9p Scott stamp. Signed by HMS Warspite Nuclear Submarine commanding Officer Cdr. C.L. Wood and Flag Officer Medway Rear Admiral C.C.H. Dunlop CBE. Rear-Admiral Colin Dunlop, who died aged 91, helped to shape the postwar Royal Navy, and in the early 1960s was secretary to the First Sea Lord, Admiral of the Fleet Sir Caspar John, son of the painter Augustus John.
