A striking original oil on canvas board painting showing a coastal view of the Dublin docklands including the Poolbeg Chimneys and the James Joyce Martello Tower. Unsigned but verified as a work of Irish artist Marcel Lindsay. Nicely housed in a complementary white frame.
Lindsay (b.1968), is a Dublin born artist who took up painting in 2018 following a holiday to West Cork. Working primarily in acrylic and pen, his paintings powerfully capture the mood and colour of the sea, allowing the Dublin coastline to feed the narrative of his work.
