Victorian 1822 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword, regulation pattern with brass guard incorporating crowned VR cipher, shagreen covered grip with wire binding. Rear folding guard. Pipe back slightly curved blade with crowned VR cipher, foliage etched to the top section of both sides of the blade. Housed in an associated plated steel scabbard. Blade shows heavy wear, denting to the guard. Blade tip rounded. The blade measures 81 1/2 cms, overall 99cms.
