A Chinese 17th century incised Dehua wine cup. The blanc de Chine cup raised on a shallow foot with slight everting rim, all covered in a creamy white glaze. To the body there's poetic inscription reading 'shang qingmei liang yue' meaning to gaze at, or to appreciate the beautiful moon. Height 6.5cm x diam. 8.2cm

Provenance: Property of an English gentleman, acquired in the 1990s and early 2000s.
