A Chinese Polychrome Enamel 'Fenghuang' Porcelain Bowl, Tongzhi Mark. -

A Chinese polychrome enamel 'Fenghuang' porcelain bowl, Tongzhi mark. The bowl features a vibrant yellow ground, with the interior and rim decorated with an intricate design of five phoenix-like creatures (Fenghuang) with green bodies and pink and white wings, interspersed with stylized clouds and flame motifs. The rim is further adorned with a complex geometric pattern in blue, pink, and gold. The exterior base is glazed white with four red/orange bat or auspicious cloud motifs around the foot ring. At the center of the base, there is a blue underglaze six-character mark, reading "大清同治年製" (Dà Qīng Tóngzhì Nián Zhì), which translates to "Made in the reign of the Tongzhi Emperor of the Great Qing Dynasty" (1861-1875).
