A Chinese porcelain scalloped plate, bearing a blue underglaze six-character seal mark on the base reading "大清乾隆年製" (Dà Qīng Qiánlóng Nián Zhì), translating to "Made in the Great Qing Qianlong reign" (1735-1796). The central well is decorated in a vibrant polychrome enamel palette, featuring two confronting green, five-clawed dragons with red mouths and white teeth, pursuing a flaming pearl on a rich cobalt blue ground, interspersed with scrolling floral motifs.
