A MIXED SILVER / SILVER PLATE LOT; includes (i) A ‘Grenade’ table lighter, with screw off ‘flame’ top and ball shaped body – no hallmarks so possibly silver plate/sterling silver or a silver coloured metal. (ii) A silver pill / trinket box, decorated all over with scrolling foliage & floral design, the hinged lid opens to reveal a gilt interior within, Birmingham, maker’s mark of CS*FS (slighted rubbed) for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, date letter of ‘z’ and lion passant. Dimensions: 5.5 x 2.5 x 2cm (L x W x H)., (iii) A pair of silver capped horn cutlery rests, each with a silver cap and four short legs (one missing a tip). Silver: Sheffield hallmark, date letter ‘i’ for 1901, maker’s mark of GH for Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson). Dimensions: 11cm long each approximately. (iv) A pair of silver (possibly) plated cutlery rests, each with a barley twist stem between two quadra shaped ends (one missing a foot as photographed) 8cm long.
