LOUIS-MAXIMILIEN BOURGEOIS (1839-1901) A set of four terracotta plaques depicting the four seasons in relief with cherubs and seasonal plants, each inscribed 'Max Bourgeois', summer and autumn dated 1876, winter and spring 1878, in later walnut frames, 10 1/2" diameter
The plaques are structurally sound with no losses. Some surface dirt and signs of age to the terracotta are visible. The frames are rough in appearance with discolouration and cracks in places
