PROVENANCE: From a West of England private collection.

NOTE: Two related ginger jars with domed covers are illustrated by Anthony du Boulay in The Taft Museum, Its History and Collections, Volume Two, nos. 1931.11 and 1931.15; another related ginger jar with two panels on the body is illustrated by Chen Ren Min in The Gugong Museum Collection of Qing Dynasty Porcelain from the Shunzhi and Kangxi Period, no. 236, pp. 364/5.
