SPECTACULAR ANTI-"MALT TAX" PROPAGANDA POSTER SENT FROM RYE TO A LONDON M.P. WITH 1d REDS; Remarkable 23 Mar. 1845 EL (a single very large folded poster; some reinforced folds and edge wear but complete) sent from "RYE" (cds on flap) to an M.P. in London with two 1841 1d Reds (both very near 4m) tied by Rye "667" numerals. The Poster announces the imminent public meeting on "the REPEAL OF THE MALT DUTY" chaired by "SIR CHARLES LAMB" at Battle. Rare survival of an early QV Propaganda poster sent by post.
