A George III vinaigrette in 18ct gold, of polished oval form, cover set with a bevelled glass encasing a bed of snuff with applied enamelled banner with the inscription "L'amitie" (friendship in French), similar design to the base, opening to reveal a drilled grille, London 1799, maker's mark 'IN', 3.5 x 2.6 cm, 34.7 grams.
