A KABUL TO KANDAHAR STAR NAMED TO A SEVERELY WOUNDED MAN WITH THE GORDON HIGHLANDERS. A Kabul to Kandahar Star 1881 with impressed naming '1672 Private F. Smith 92nd Highlanders. Francis Smith is recorded as suffering a severe gun shot wound to the foot whilst serving with the 92nd Foot (Gordon Highlanders) at Kandahar. These medals were manufactured by H. Jenkins and Sons of Birmingham from the guns captured from the army of Ayub Khan.
