AN AFGHANISTAN MEDAL 1878-1880 WITH AHMED KHEL CLASP TO THE 59TH FOOT. An Afghanistan medal with Ahmed Khel clasp named to 11 Pte M. Mc Queeney 59th Foot. The action at Ahmed Khel was the last time the 59th (2nd Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot carried their colours into battle, as they did so they wore locally made Khaki uniforms, the first time Khaki was worn in action.
