£200 - £300
French 19th century repeating and striking gilt brass carriage clock with alarm by Japy Freres & Cie, the white Roman numeral dial with outer minute markers and Beguet type moon hands over the subsidiary alarm dial, the movement with an oval stamped trademark, platform lever escapement and hammers striking the half hours and hours on a bell, within a bevelled glazed gorge case with repeat button, 7.25" high with the handle raised (the movement requires repair) (with two keys)
Visible wear to the gilding on the case as shown in the images, the retailer stamp on the dial is mostly worn, minute hand slightly bent, the movement not currently functioning being fully wound and possible mainspring and escapement issue; the strike train and alarm appear to be functioning when briefly tested - see all images for guidance
