A CHINESE ZHANGZHOU SWATOW BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN PHOENIX DISH, LATE MING DYNASTY. From the Binh Thuan Shipwreck which was carrying Chinese goods from China to Johore for the Dutch which sank off the south of Vietnam in 1608. Sticker to base no. 07895. 26cm diam.
A good example with no signs of damage or repairs. Coarse grit surrounding the foot rim and exterior.
