Early 19th century North West of England oak eight day long case clock, having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture flanked by plain turned pillars, the waist with cross banded door and turned columns on a cross banded panel base with ogee bracket supports. Arched painted dial with rolling moon and floral spandrels, Roman numerals, seconds dial and date aperture. Two train movement, strikes on one bell. The face 49x34cm approx. Complete with two weights and pendulum, overall 2.3M high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
Wear to face particularly to numerals, the case a little dry, panel to lower base is split, minor losses to veneer and inlays in places.
