Athena - India. 1936 (Sep 21/22) Covers from England to India franked 6d, all with some fire damage and Calcutta arrival backstamps (Sep 30), from the "Athena" which caught fire while taking off from Delhi on September 29th. Two covers without any cachets, the other with violet "SALVAGED MAIL", this cachet unrecorded by Nierinck. (3).
