A Boer War Period Artillery Officers sword, the 89cm non-regulation blade a German import made by Kirchbaum and carrying their logo at the forte and an etched panel to John Hyman Leicester Square London, Sam Browne type field service brown leather scabbard Hyman was a military outfitter who also sold swords. It is probable that he had this blade ordered specially and then had it fitted to the sword in Britain, as per the individual officers specifications.
