Chirstopher Dresser for Hukin and Heath, an Aesthetic Movement silver mounted glass claret jug, Birmingham 1881, conical bulbous form with cylindrical neck, plain geometric mount and collar with ebony dowell handle, 22cm high Note: see Whiteway, M, 2001, Christopher Dresser: 1834-1904, Milan, p.99 for an example of this desig; the design was registered in the same year and was in production for the next 20 years at least, in both silver and plate. This appears to be a very early example of the silver mounted version.
