1882 (Dec 24) Cover with a superb handpainted and coloured copy of a 1d Mulready on the front, a framed oriental character in the upper corner, posted from Stockport to Marple franked 1d, presumably having contained a Christmas card, Christmas day arrival backstamps. A superb and unique handpainted Mulready copy postally used, ex. Charless Hahn and Louis Grunin collections, illustrated in colour in "British Pictorial Envelopes of the 19th Century" By Bodily, Jarvis and Hahn. Photo included on Back Cover.
