The canvas is loose to the frame and the edges evidence some associated loss of paint due to abrasion. There are fine craquelure throughout the surface. UV inspection shows a layer of varnish and an area of retouching or patching which suggests restoration as has surface bumps, evidencing the paint layer could have been damaged and then restored.
