This rare 19th-century Mughal Taimurid pulwar is an exceptional example of Islamic Eastern warfare craftsmanship. Featuring a distinctive crescent-shaped, solid blade firmly set into a rare hand grip wrapped in solid silver wire, the sword reflects both strength and elegance.
The round filigree pommel and hand guard are finely detailed, bearing the Islamic Qur’anic verse “Nasrum Min Allahi, wa Fat'hun Qareeb” (“Help from Allah and a near victory”), while the blade itself is marked with additional verses, maker’s marks, and protective taweez motifs.
