Boer War Period Uniform of Seymour Henry Bathurst, the Seventh Earl Bathurst, Lieut-Colonel 4th Militia Battalion the Gloucestershire Regiment. Comprising a four pocket tunic with correct rank insignia plus mlitia distinctive embroidered ‘M’s, ‘Gloucester’ shoulder titles and regimental pattern buttons. Darker khaki trousers and a folding side hat in the lighter colour, two leather frontal buttons, good overall condition.
Seymour Henry Bathurst CMG was born 1864, saw service in the South African War and WW1.
