1840 (July 23) 1d Lettersheet stereo A80 (forme 4) posted from Gomersall to Blackpool and redirected to Halifax, incorrectly charged 2d upon redirection instead of the single 1d rate, red Maltese Cross cancel with Leeds and Preston (July 27) backstamps, handstamped boxed "Gomersall / Penny Post" and "Blackpool / Penny Post". Horizontal file fold and minor creasing at upper edge, otherwise fine, a very unusual incorrectly charged redirected Mulready with two Penny Post handstamps. Photo on Page 90.
