1918-19 - TEHERAN FAMINE RELIEF ISSUE:1918 (15 Mar) 1ch slate-lilac with overprint mint (10, inc a block of six) and used (126) and 1ch brown orange mint (10, inc a block of four) and used (9). Also without overprint used 1ch slate-lilac (4) and 1ch brown-orange (8). Plus an important letter from R W Gray (Imperial Bank of Persia) to Lt. Col G S F Napier explaining the use of the famine relief stamps. Note the letter is dated 16-3-18 and is believed to be the release date of the stamps.
