A collection of five Georgian circa 1800 freeblown scent bottles / lachrymatorys / tear catchers / tear vials with gilded decoration, one with a stopper, the longest 5 3/8'' long Lachtymatorys were used to gather & hold the tears wept by mourners at funerals. Some had a special top allowing the tears to evaporate, others were sealed for a year, and afterwards poured on the grave of the person whom the tears were wept for.
