A 20th century North West Iran Nahavand hand-woven wool floor carpet rug. The carpet in rich dark colours with central stylised medallion in red and blue enclosed in a central panel with simplistic floral and foliate motifs. All in a series of outer borders with similar decorations. Short tassels to ends.
Originally purchased in Iran by the parents of the current owner.
