A handwritten certificate of birth for two child slaves, Cape Town, 16th January 1833, "This is to certify that the following slaves have bene borne namely; ---tze[?] whose Mother named Eva, on the 17th December 1832. Sijda whose Mother named Rosie on the 24th December 1832. Cape Town 16th January 1833.", signed L.W.C. Beck. A sobering historical document.
