1901-19 AMIR HABIBULLAH KHAN: Album leaves with the collection of stamps, cards & covers c.1907-19. We note many rare & unusual items incl. a rare 1916 real photo PPC of the Amir and his entourage arriving by train at Peshawar. Covers include 1908 Kabul local bearing 1ab green, strengthened, damaged (one stamp torn off) cover ex Peshawar to Kabul bearing 13 x 1ab blue & 1 x 2ab green as Postage Due, 1909 KEVII ½a embossed env. ex Srinagar to Kabul, attractive Regd. 1919 cover to Bombay with Indian & Afghan frankings, etc. Selection (16) of 1ab used stamps showing native postmarks from 8 different towns; Lot includes a fine range of mint & used 1907 postage & 1909-22 parcel stamps incl. various scarce imperfs. & shade varieties, also noting complete sheet of 25 x 3 shahi bistre parcel stamps with maker's watermark clearly visible.
