Executed with spontaneity and physicality, Take Off demonstrates King’s confident handling of acrylic, balancing gestural movement with areas of controlled intensity. The work reflects her long-standing interest in abstraction and process-driven painting, informed by her time living and working in Cornwall, particularly St Ives.
Born in Bristol and self-taught, Linda King has exhibited in Bristol, Amesbury, St Ives and Hayle. Formerly a portrait artist, her practice has evolved to encompass expressive abstraction alongside wider interests in sculpture and illustration. The present work is framed and ready for display.
