An Islamic Kashan Pottery Bowl With Inscribed Rim, Probably 12th–13th Century.

Of deep conical form rising from a short foot, the buff-toned body is decorated in brown slip with a continuous band of flowing Arabic inscription encircling the exterior rim. The interior features a central roundel with radiating panels, each filled with stylised vegetal motifs and calligraphic elements, beneath a translucent glaze. The surface shows extensive crack lines and visible restoration throughout, with areas of wear and glaze loss consistent with age.
