English 19th century mahogany double fusee drumhead mantel clock by Joseph Dyson, Rawmarsh, signed 10" cream dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track, black hands, the movement back plate signed and dated 1838, with anchor escapement striking the hours on a bell, within a drumhead case crossbanded with rosewood and with boxwood inlay, upon a triple stepped base and bun feet, applied with gilt metal foliate ring handles, 18.75" high (the case with faults) (with pendulum and winding key)
The case overall in need of restoration with veneer loss, swollen veneer to the case top, various veneer losses and the back door hinge at fault. The movement appears complete striking the hours but out of sync so requires service, the timepiece winds but not fully tested - see all images for guidance
