WORLDWIDE MIX: A large shoe box containing an all world mix of covers and PPCs mainly 20th C. (a few earlier) variety of interesting commercially used mail inc. 1859 EL used locally in Peru franked with a 1 dinero stamp (SG 3); 1901 1d p.stat. env. (toned, flap faults) to UK cancelled with a fine "ARMY POST OFFICE/A/DE 9/01/MACHADODOR" (Egypt) cds; 1907 PPC franked 2x½d stamps tied by Stockport cds's addressed to "Mex Lighthouse, Egypt" with a very fine "PORT SAID ALEXANDRIA/T.P.O." cds; 1924 env. ex Iraq registered to the UK franked block of six 1½a stamps cancelled by large faint cds's with "R/BAGHDAD" & air mail etiquettes adjacent; 1933 env. ex Riga to Berlin endorsed "Luftpost" franked 2x25s airmail stamps tied by "RIGA-LIDPASTS/26.5.33/LATVIA" cds's with airmail etiquette and fine red "MIT LUFTPOST BEFORDERT/[aeroplane]/LUFTPOSTAMT/BERLIN C2" hs adjacent; plus other registered and/or airmail items; also a bundle of Egypt PPCs c.1916 written on but not posted as well as a variety of covers. A wide ranging and eclectic accumulation. Varied condition, some fronts. (few 100)
